- Snuggling with sweet boy, his thick curly hair tucked under my chin, the resonance of his deeper voice as he laughs, the monkey crawling over his legs and give him “issy, issy”.
- My 87 year-old grandmother telling the monkey, “You just need some mama milk. That will make it all better. Honey, I am glad you are still nursing him. It is so good for him!”
- Playing at the park and meeting up with a group of homeschoolers. One little girl (maybe seven years old) with long gold hair and missing two front teeth danced for us while the monkey was swinging. “My dream is to be a goddess when I grow up. I am not snotty like other little girls because I am always trying to be like a goddess.”
