This blog is my space for sharing about the amazing and sometimes overwhelming journey of mothering with mindfulness. For me, this means being present with my children and their needs while maintaining my own self-awareness and growth. It is about living from my heart and being clear about my values.
I have two amazing boys: Sweet boy, 16, lives in TX with his Dad and Step-Mom, and the Monkey is an energetic toddler who fills my days with unexpected fun! Striving to be a conscious mama, loving my creative and wise partner (Papa Bear), being true to my passion as a writer, keeping up with my thriving practice as a Life Coach and still finding time to be myself is my commitment. By reading my blog, you become my accountability for living my talk!

So nice to see you today–I’m sure all the other yoga moms will be happy to catch up through your blog. Sorry I didn’t even really say goodbye! Not my best afternoon with the girls, I’m afraid, and it had me a little flustered.
But I spent some time later on your blog and it is lovely–really true and heartfelt writing, so much love and wonder. It reminds me of one of my favorites, Amanda Soule, in many ways–do you read her? http://www.soulemama.typepad.com/ . Best to you! -Kirstin-
It was nice chatting with you at the park the other day (Rose City Park) – and thanks for giving me your info on your blog, etc. (if you forget – I was the high school teacher you met – I have a 2 yr old as well)
What a wonderfully inspiring blog. I, too, have a teenager and a toddler and I attempt to use Mindfulness everyday as a Mum, and in my life generally. If things begin to get to me I’ll turn to scott Rogers’s ‘ Mindful Parenting’ or Jon kabat-Zinn’s ‘ Everyday blessings ‘, and realise things can, indeed, be another way.
I think every parent should read these two books!
Thank you for making the effort, and I’ll tune in again!
